๐Ÿ˜– Jealous

Why it happens

Seeing intact families, healthy pets, easy lives, people complaining about small things โ€” it stings because it shows you what got taken.

What it might mean

Jealousy in grief is not pettiness. It's a measure of what you lost, appearing in other people's ordinary days.

Healthy ways to respond

  • Mute or unfollow whatever you need to for a while. That's maintenance, not weakness.
  • Name it privately: โ€œI want what they have.โ€ It loses its charge once it's said.
  • Remember you're comparing your inside to someone else's outside.

Grounding

Look away from the screen and find five things in the room that are only yours.

Journal prompt

What am I actually longing for underneath the jealousy?
