๐ Jealous
Why it happens
Seeing intact families, healthy pets, easy lives, people complaining about small things โ it stings because it shows you what got taken.
What it might mean
Jealousy in grief is not pettiness. It's a measure of what you lost, appearing in other people's ordinary days.
Healthy ways to respond
- Mute or unfollow whatever you need to for a while. That's maintenance, not weakness.
- Name it privately: โI want what they have.โ It loses its charge once it's said.
- Remember you're comparing your inside to someone else's outside.
Grounding
Look away from the screen and find five things in the room that are only yours.
