😔 Lonely
Why it happens
Grief loneliness is specific: it's not the absence of people, it's the absence of that person, plus the sense that nobody quite gets it.
What it might mean
Being surrounded and still lonely is normal. One relationship can't be substituted by others.
Healthy ways to respond
- Send a message that asks for company, not conversation: “Want to sit somewhere with me?”
- Go somewhere with ambient people — a café, a library — even if you talk to no one.
- Talk to them out loud if that helps. It's a relationship, not a symptom.
Grounding
Wrap something around your shoulders. Weight and warmth register as company to the body.
